Spot Pet Insurance offers excellent Accident & Illness coverage that goes beyond what many other providers offer by reimbursing you for things like holistic care, behavioral modification, and microchipping. Unlike some other options on the market, they have no upper age limit for enrollment, so senior pets can sign up at any time. And Spot Pet Insurance reviews often praise the company for its flexibility, with customizations that allow you to build the ideal policy for your preferences and price point.

Pros

  • Customizable deductible, reimbursement rate, and annual limit
  • Offers the option for unlimited coverage
  • No upper age limit for enrollment
  • 24/7 access to vet telehealth hotline

Expert Insights

Is Spot Pet Insurance good?

"Spot Pet Insurance offers a lot of value for pet owners looking for comprehensive coverage for their furry friends. Spot policies cover a wide range of accidents and illnesses, including alternative therapies and holistic care. It also boasts a great wellness plan that gives you the freedom to spend your benefit however you choose.

Plans with unlimited annual payouts and high reimbursement rates can get expensive. The 14-day waiting period for accident coverage is also a downside to keep in mind while shopping.

That said, Spot is a solid option for most pet owners, especially those with older pets or those seeking alternative treatments.

If you still aren’t sure if pet insurance is worth it, or if you can’t decide if Spot Pet Insurance is the best choice for you, Pawlicy Advisor makes it easy to compare plans and find the best value. Check out our pet insurance comparison charts or read through additional pet insurance reviews to learn more.

You can also receive a custom quote for the best available plans, at the lowest possible price, with one search at Pawlicy Advisor."

Best Pet Insurance for the Money

We reviewed several pet insurance companies before choosing Spot. They gave us great coverage for both emergencies and office visits. The claim form is easy to fill out and submit. Reimbursement comes quickly and we have it direct deposited. I’ve not had to use customer support so I can’t comment. on that but having had it for 2 dogs for over a year - we are thrilled with our choice.

Overall Great Experience

Overall good experience. Easy to use the app and process is streamlined. Only issue is that some claims will say action is required even after submitting required documents. That being said once the claim is processed the reimbursement comes quickly and there were no hiccups there.”
